Caspofungin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 19, 2007. Female patient, 63 years of age, was diagnosed with fungal infection  and was treated with Caspofungin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: graft versus host disease, multi-organ failure. Caspofungin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CASPOFUNGIN MSD, CASPOFUNGIN MSD, CASPOFUNGIN MSD, VORICONAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Female patient, child 5 years of age, was diagnosed with febrile neutropenia and was treated with Caspofungin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aphasia , blood bilirubin increased, blood pressure decreased, circumoral oedema, face oedema, graft versus host disease, hepatosplenomegaly, infusion related reaction, interstitial lung disease. Caspofungin dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with CASPOFUNGIN ACETATE, AMPHOTERICIN B AND CHOLESTEROL AND DISTEAROYLPHOSPHATIDYLGLYCEROL AND, CANCIDAS. Patient died on 03/25/2004.
