Carmustine Side Effects Report #4736256-5
Carmustine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 05, 2005. Male patient, 71 years of age, weighting 178.6 lb, was treated with Carmustine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, atrial fibrillation , blood electrolytes abnormal, cardiac failure, clostridium colitis, culture throat positive, cytomegalovirus infection , multi-organ failure, pneumonia . Carmustine dosage: 570MG QDX1 IV. During the same period patient was treated with ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE, MELPHALAN, ACYCLOVIR, DOXYCYCLINE, DIGOXIN, LOVENOX, PROTONIX. Patient died on 07/31/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood ph increased, chest discomfort, dilatation atrial, dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea, hypoxia, low cardiac output syndrome, lung neoplasm. Carmustine dosage: 225 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, ETOPOSIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal discomfort, anorexia, aspiration, asthenia, bronchoalveolar lavage abnormal, headache , international normalised ratio increased, lung infiltration, metabolic acidosis. Carmustine dosage: 794 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, ETOPOSIDE, MESNA, RITUXIMAB. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/28/2007.
