Cardizem Side Effects Report #4796429-2
Cardizem side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from SWEDEN on Sept 21, 2005. Male patient, 71 years of age, was diagnosed with ill-defined disorder, atrial fibrillation  and was treated with Cardizem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia , atrial fibrillation , blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood pressure diastolic decreased, bradycardia, c-reactive protein increased, calculus urinary, chest pain , condition aggravated. Cardizem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SOTALOL, SIMVASTATIN, TRIATEC, IMDUR, TOMBYL, PLAVIX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, confusional state and was treated with Cardizem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia , back pain , cerebrovascular accident, hyperglycaemia, ischaemia, nausea . Cardizem dosage: 90 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with DAONIL, METFORMIN, MELLARIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/17/2005.
