Carbatrol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 27, 2005. Female patient, 38 years of age, weighting 134.9 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Carbatrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: convulsion, depression , dizziness , dry mouth, dry skin, dyskinesia, memory impairment, muscle spasms, sexual dysfunction. Carbatrol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LYRICA. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with convulsion and was treated with Carbatrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dizziness , feeling abnormal, loss of consciousness, ventricular arrhythmia. Carbatrol dosage: 200 MG 3 CAP 2X/DAY, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchitis , dizziness , loss of consciousness, pain in extremity, pulmonary embolism . Carbatrol dosage: 300 MG, EVERY 12 HOURS,ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with SEROQUEL, RISPERDAL. Patient died on 11/24/2004.

Carbatrol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PAROXETINE, RISPERIDONE, BUSPIRONE, NADOLOL, HYDROXYZINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
