Male patient, child 5 years of age, weighting 44.97 lb, was diagnosed with convulsion and was treated with Carbatrol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, asthenia, convulsion, oral intake reduced, somnolence. Carbatrol dosage: 100 MG, 6 CAPSULES DAILY, ORAL; 100 MG, 8 CAPSULES DAILY, ORAL; 100 MG, 6 CAPSULES DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ZYRTEC, LAMICTAL. Patient recovered.
