Carafate side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 17, 2006. Female patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with burning sensation, gastrooesophageal reflux disease and was treated with Carafate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: gastrointestinal pain, nausea What is  nausea, throat irritation. Carafate dosage: 10ML FOUR TIMES DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with ZYRTEC, LASIX, KLONOPIN. Patient recovered.
