Captopril side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from BRAZIL on Sept 02, 2005. Female patient, 82 years of age, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Captopril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, cardiomegaly, cataract operation, dizziness , eye excision, glaucoma , malaise, platelet count decreased. Captopril dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, CLORANA. Patient recovered.

Captopril dosage: ON 13-FEB-2006, ADMININTERED CAPTOPRIL 6.25 MG BUCCAL SUBLINGUALLY. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/13/2006.
