Captopril side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from MALAYSIA on Apr 11, 2008. Male patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Captopril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: angioedema, blood creatinine increased, blood pressure abnormal. Captopril dosage: 150 MG;TAB;PO; QD. During the same period patient was treated with ATENOLOL, METFORMIN, INDAPAMIDE, TICLOPIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE, LOVASTATIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 202.8 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Captopril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, haemolytic anaemia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. Captopril dosage: 1 DF (25 MG/12.5 MG), QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, IBUPROFEN STADA, TRAMADOL HYDROHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
