Capastat side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from SOUTH AFRICA on Jan 31, 2008. Female patient was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypokalaemia, renal failure acute, vomiting. Capastat dosage: 1000 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHIONAMIDE, AUGMENTIN, EPILIM, LAMIVUDINE, EFAVIRENZ. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Capastat dosage: 500 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, ETHIONAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/25/2008.

During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, ETHIONAMIDE, COTRIMOXAZOLE, VITAMINS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/25/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood thyroid stimulating hormone increased, hypokalaemia, renal failure acute. Capastat dosage: 750 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with CAPASTAT SULPHATE, CAPASTAT SULPHATE, OFLOXACIN, ETHIONAMIDE, TERIZIDONE, PYRAZINAMIDE, PYRIDOXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
