Capastat side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on Feb 16, 2007. Male patient, 57 years of age, weighting 83.78 lb, was diagnosed with tuberculosis
and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, hypokalaemia, vomiting. Capastat dosage: 750 MG, 5/W. During the same period patient was treated with PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, ETHIONAMIDE, OFLOXACIN, TERIZIDONE, KANAMYCIN. and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, hyperkalaemia, renal failure acute. Capastat dosage: 500 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, ETHIONAMIDE, COTRIMOXAZOLE, VITAMINS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/25/2008.
