Capastat and death Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Capastat Side Effects Report #5330854-6
Capastat side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on May 14, 2007. Female patient, 13 years of age, weighting 63.93 lb, was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypocalcaemia, hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia, weight decreased. Capastat dosage: 500 MG, DAILY (1/D). Patient died.

Capastat side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on Feb 01, 2008. Male patient, weighting 94.80 lb, was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: nephropathy toxic. Capastat dosage: 750 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, ETHIONAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, PYRAZINAMIDE. Patient died on 08/01/2007.

Capastat side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on Feb 01, 2008. Female patient, weighting 85.98 lb, was diagnosed with tuberculosis  and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: nephropathy toxic. Capastat dosage: 750 MG, DAILY (1/D). During the same period patient was treated with TERIZIDONE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, ETHIONAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/24/2007.

Capastat side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on June 07, 2007. Female patient, 24 years of age, was diagnosed with tuberculosis , vitamin b6 deficiency and was treated with Capastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypokalaemia. Capastat dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ETHIONAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE, TERIZIDONE, AMOXICILLIN, CLARITHROMYCIN, PYRAZINAMIDE, PYRIDOXINE, PARA AMINOSALICYLIC ACID. Patient died.
