Candesartan Side Effects Report #6090377-6
Candesartan side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Feb 10, 2009. Male patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with essential hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Candesartan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase abnormal, cancer pain, condition aggravated, constipation , diabetes mellitus, fall , gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Candesartan dosage: (8 MG). During the same period patient was treated with CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, PIOGLITAZONE, KARY UNI, ALOSENN, MOHRUS, ZANTAC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Candesartan dosage: (8MG) PER ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, PIOGLITAZONE, KARY UNI, ALOSENN, MOHRUS, ZANTAC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Male patient, weighting 114.6 lb, was diagnosed with cardiac failure chronic, thrombosis prophylaxis, prophylaxis against gastrointestinal ulcer and was treated with Candesartan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral haemorrhage, fall . Candesartan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with WARFARIN, DIART, LANIRAPID, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE, PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE, MUCOSTA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/13/2006.

Male patient, weighting 191.8 lb, was diagnosed with cardiac failure chronic, diabetes mellitus and was treated with Candesartan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia , bronchopneumonia, cardiac failure acute, cheyne-stokes respiration, congestive cardiomyopathy, dyspnoea, fall , gastritis erosive, insomnia. Candesartan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, BISOPROLOL, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, DIGITOXIN, ENALAPRIL MALEATE, INSULIN, MARCUMAR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
