Camptosar Side Effects Report #4781629-8
Camptosar side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Sept 14, 2005. Male patient, 70 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with rectal cancer and was treated with Camptosar. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, haemoglobin decreased, hypovolaemia, lung disorder, platelet count decreased, pyrexia, septic shock, white blood cell count decreased. Camptosar dosage: 180 MG/M2, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FUROSEMIDE, CALCIUM CARBONATE. Patient died on 07/18/2005.

Male patient, 48 years of age, weighting 191.0 lb, was diagnosed with metastases to bone, metastases to liver, oesophageal carcinoma and was treated with Camptosar. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood potassium decreased, body temperature decreased, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, weight increased. Camptosar dosage: 85 MG/M2 (130 MG, 1 IN 1 CYCLICAL), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CISPLATIN, ATROPINE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, white blood cell count decreased. Camptosar dosage: 190MG IV. During the same period patient was treated with ONDANSETRON, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE, TRAZODONE, SPIRONOLACTONE, ASCORBIC ACID, ATENOLOL, CLOPIDOGREL BISULPHATE, CYPROHEPTADINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, circulatory collapse, disseminated intravascular coagulation, fibrosis, gastrointestinal disorder, haematoma, platelet count decreased, rectal haemorrhage, shock. Camptosar dosage: 180 MG/M2 (180 MG/M2), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FLUOROURACIL, FOLIC ACID, AVASTIN. Patient died.

During the same period patient was treated with ERBITUX, CHLOR, DEXAMETHASONE PHOSPHATE, KYTRIL, AMARYL, MEVALOTIN, AMLODIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/25/2008.
