Calcitriol side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on Jan 22, 2003. Male patient, weighting 116.8 lb, was diagnosed with osteoporosis prophylaxis, heart transplant  and was treated with Calcitriol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, pyrexia, tachycardia. Calcitriol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CALTRATE, PREDNISONE, CYCLOSPORINE, AZATHIOPRINE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, KETOCONAZOLE, CAPTOPRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/04/1995.

Male patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with hypocalcaemia, liver transplant , transplant rejection, atrial fibrillation , pain , calciphylaxis and was treated with Calcitriol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation , calciphylaxis, congestive cardiomyopathy, cryptococcosis, haemodynamic instability, hypocalcaemia, pyrexia, renal failure acute, septic shock. Calcitriol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, CALCIUM CARBONATE, CYCLOSPORINE, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, ACENOCUMAROL, OPIATES, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
