Calcitriol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 11, 2008. Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with vitamin supplementation and was treated with Calcitriol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain , anorexia, chills, diarrhoea, infection , muscle spasms, pancreatitis, vomiting. Calcitriol dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Calcitriol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on Dec 23, 2008. Male patient, weighting 116.8 lb, was diagnosed with osteoporosis prophylaxis and was treated with Calcitriol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, asthenia, atrial flutter, bradycardia, dizziness , headache , lethargy, presyncope, pyrexia. Calcitriol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CALTRATE, PREDNISONE, CYCLOSPORINE, AZATHIOPRINE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, KETOCONAZOLE, CAPTOPRIL, ZANTAC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/04/1995.
