Calcitonin Side Effects Report #4816535-3
Calcitonin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Oct 19, 2005. Female patient, 46 years of age, was diagnosed with osteoporosis
and was treated with Calcitonin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood glucose increased, blood magnesium decreased, blood phosphorus decreased, blood potassium decreased, blood urea increased, convulsion, flushing. Calcitonin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM CARBONATE, MAGNESIUM SULPHATE, DIAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
