Buphenyl Side Effects Report #5274515-0
Buphenyl side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Mar 03, 2007. Male patient, weighting 6.61 lb, was diagnosed with hyperammonaemia and was treated with Buphenyl. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, ammonia increased, anuria, blood sodium increased, brain damage, coagulopathy, haemodialysis, hepatic failure. Buphenyl dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMMONUL, CITRULLINE, PHENOBARBITAL. Patient died on 02/24/2007.

Buphenyl side effect was reported by a Physician from DENMARK on Sept 08, 2006. Male patient was diagnosed with argininosuccinate synthetase deficiency and was treated with Buphenyl. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood albumin decreased, coagulopathy, diarrhoea, international normalised ratio increased. Buphenyl dosage: 40 MG/KG/DAY ORALLY. During the same period patient was treated with ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, ARGININE. Patient recovered.
