Buphenyl side effect was reported by a Physician from DENMARK on Sept 08, 2006. Male patient was diagnosed with argininosuccinate synthetase deficiency and was treated with Buphenyl. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood albumin decreased, coagulopathy, diarrhoea, international normalised ratio increased. Buphenyl dosage: 40 MG/KG/DAY ORALLY. During the same period patient was treated with ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, ARGININE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anion gap increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood albumin decreased, blood amino acid level decreased, blood glucose decreased, carbon dioxide decreased, developmental delay, electrolyte imbalance. Buphenyl dosage: 685 MG/KG, DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with AMMONUL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
