Bortezomib Side Effects Report #5399138-4
Bortezomib side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 25, 2007. Female patient, weighting 182.5 lb, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Bortezomib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atelectasis, chest discomfort, disease progression, dyspnoea, neoplasm malignant, pleural effusion. Bortezomib dosage: 0.7 MG/M2 IV DAY 1, 4, 8,11. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, DOCETAXEL, MOTRIN, VICODIN, COMPAZINE, DECADRON, KYTRIL, ZOFRAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 66 years of age, weighting 239.2 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma  and was treated with Bortezomib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, condition aggravated, dyspnoea, platelet count decreased, pneumonia . Bortezomib dosage: 2.3 MG ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS IV. During the same period patient was treated with CNTO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 280.9 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma  and was treated with Bortezomib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, convulsion, delirium, dyspnoea, encephalopathy, hypoxia, international normalised ratio increased, mental status changes, performance status decreased. Bortezomib dosage: 1.5 MG/M2 DAYS 1, 4, 8 AND 11 IV. During the same period patient was treated with DOXORUBICIN, KEPPRA, ACYCLOVIR, ALLOPURINOL, DEXAMETHASONE, DOLASETRON, MOXIFLOXACIN. Patient died on 12/19/2006.

Bortezomib side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 10, 2008. Male patient, weighting 257.9 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma  and was treated with Bortezomib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, dyspnoea, haematuria, heart rate increased, lethargy, multi-organ failure, oxygen saturation decreased, pancytopenia, rhabdomyolysis. Bortezomib dosage: 2.4 MG TWICE PER WEEK IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with THALIDOMIDE. Patient died on 09/03/2008.
