Bortezomib side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Mar 10, 2006. Female patient, weighting 134.5 lb, was diagnosed with waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia and was treated with Bortezomib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, bacterial infection , chills, diarrhoea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, herpes zoster, hypotension, international normalised ratio increased, pyrexia. Bortezomib dosage: 2.6 MG IV. During the same period patient was treated with DEXAMETHASONE, RITUXIMAB. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, febrile neutropenia, leukopenia, malaise, pain in jaw. Bortezomib dosage: 2.9MG DAY 1+4 IV. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, RITUXIMAB, DOXORUBICIN, DEXAMETHASONE, VINCRISTINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Bortezomib dosage: 1.3MG/M2/DAY DAYS 1, 4, 8, 11 IV. During the same period patient was treated with DAPSONE, DEXAMETHASONE, DOCUSATE, FLUCONAZOLE, MIRALAX, ONDANSETRON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
