Benzocaine Side Effects Report #4905327-2
Benzocaine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 07, 2006. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 146.3 lb, was diagnosed with local anaesthesia and was treated with Benzocaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cyanosis, electrolyte imbalance, hyperkalaemia, hypoxia, loss of consciousness, methaemoglobinaemia, renal failure acute, retching. Benzocaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LIDOCAINE VISCOUS. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
