Benzocaine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 14, 2005. Male patient, 66 years of age, weighting 196.0 lb, was diagnosed with local anaesthesia and was treated with Benzocaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood ph increased, cyanosis, methaemoglobinaemia, po2 increased, post procedural complication. Benzocaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LIDOCAINE VISCOUS. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: base excess increased, blood methaemoglobin present, blood ph increased, cyanosis, pco2 decreased, po2 increased, post procedural complication. Benzocaine dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood methaemoglobin present, oxygen saturation decreased, po2 increased, post procedural complication. Benzocaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LIDOCAINE VISCOUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
