Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 146.3 lb, was diagnosed with local anaesthesia and was treated with Benzocaine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cyanosis, electrolyte imbalance, hyperkalaemia, hypoxia, loss of consciousness, methaemoglobinaemia, renal failure acute, retching. Benzocaine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LIDOCAINE VISCOUS. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
