Benazepril Side Effects Report #6137869-9
Benazepril side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from GERMANY on Mar 24, 2009. Male patient, 77 years of age, weighting 183.0 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension, renal impairment, pain in extremity, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, gout , atrial fibrillation , oedema peripheral and was treated with Benazepril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, atrial fibrillation , benign prostatic hyperplasia, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium increased, bradycardia, bundle branch block, cardiovascular insufficiency, cholelithiasis. Benazepril dosage: 1 DF (20 MG BENAZEPRIL/25 MG HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE). During the same period patient was treated with TORASEMIDE, ARCOXIA, GABAPENTIN, BELOC, BENZBROMARONE, DIGITOXIN, VEROSPIRON, XIPAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 63 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, urinary tract infection  and was treated with Benazepril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood creatinine increased, hydronephrosis, laparotomy, renal failure acute, retroperitoneal fibrosis, retroperitoneal infection, ureteral stent insertion, ureteric obstruction. Benazepril dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BENAZEPRIL AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, DIFORMIN RETARD, AMARYL, TRIMOPAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, hypovolaemia, pneumonia , renal disorder, respiratory distress. Benazepril dosage: 5 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with MEMANTINE. Patient recovered.
