Basiliximab Side Effects Report #5375873-9
Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 31 years of age, was diagnosed with renal transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adenovirus infection, blood creatinine increased, haematuria, prostate tenderness, prostatitis, pyrexia, tubulointerstitial nephritis, virus urine test positive. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, METHYLPREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Basiliximab dosage: 20 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with HEARTMATE, TRIMETHOPRIM SULPHATE, TACROLIMUS, PREDNISOLONE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Basiliximab dosage: 20 MG, ONCE/SINGLE. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, PREDNISONE, CYTOMEGALOVIRUS IMMUNE GLOBULIN. Patient died.
