Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Feb 06, 2008. Male patient, 63 years of age, was diagnosed with renal transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, cardiac tamponade, chronic allograft nephropathy, complications of transplanted kidney, kidney transplant rejection, pericarditis, pleural effusion, primary effusion lymphoma, renal impairment. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, PREDNISONE, RAPAMYCIN, CYCLOSPORINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on July 18, 2008. Male patient, child 11 years of age, was diagnosed with liver transplant What is  liver transplant, intestinal transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, epstein-barr viraemia, gastroenteritis adenovirus, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, liver function test abnormal, lymphopenia, multi-organ failure, pleural effusion, pneumonia What is  pneumonia. Basiliximab dosage: 20 MG, ONCE/SINGLE. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, METHYLPREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
