Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from BRAZIL on May 19, 2008. Male patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with small intestine transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal compartment syndrome, gastrointestinal inflammation, intestine transplant rejection, multi-organ failure, retro-peritoneal space operation, septic shock, staphylococcal identification test positive. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, CORTICOSTEROIDS. Patient died.
