Basiliximab Side Effects Report #5467781-X
Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from BELGIUM on Sept 20, 2007. Male patient, 52 years of age, was diagnosed with renal and pancreas transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal infection, aspergillosis, atelectasis, blood bicarbonate decreased, blood creatinine increased, bronchial disorder, bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, c-reactive protein increased, cardiac failure. Basiliximab dosage: 30 MG, ONCE/SINGLE. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, TACROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Male patient was diagnosed with liver transplant What is  liver transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, arteriosclerosis coronary artery, atelectasis, bile duct necrosis, bile duct stenosis, biliary tract disorder, blood bilirubin increased, bronchopneumonia, c-reactive protein increased. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, DIPIDOLOR, NOVALGIN, PREDNISOLONE, VALCYTE, PANTOPRAZOLE, URSO FALK, DILATREND. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/24/2008.
