Basiliximab Side Effects Report #6122717-3
Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on Mar 11, 2009. Female patient was diagnosed with liver transplant , immunosuppression, thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, ataxia , brain oedema, cerebral thrombosis, congenital cerebrovascular anomaly, convulsion, headache . Basiliximab dosage: 2 MG/KG. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, TACROLIMUS, HEPARIN, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID, SIROLIMUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on Sept 29, 2008. Male patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with heart transplant  and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, haemodialysis, infection , oedema peripheral, renal failure acute. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, SIROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, STEROIDS NOS. Patient died.
