Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on Mar 11, 2009. Female patient was diagnosed with liver transplant What is  liver transplant, immunosuppression, thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, ataxia What is  ataxia, brain oedema, cerebral thrombosis, congenital cerebrovascular anomaly, convulsion, headache What is  headache. Basiliximab dosage: 2 MG/KG. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, TACROLIMUS, HEPARIN, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID, SIROLIMUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with heart transplant What is  heart transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, haemodialysis, infection What is  infection, oedema peripheral, renal failure acute. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, SIROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, STEROIDS NOS. Patient died.
