Balsalazide side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 13, 2006. Male patient, 38 years of age, was diagnosed with colitis ulcerative and was treated with Balsalazide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chest pain , electrocardiogram change, myocarditis, troponin increased. Balsalazide dosage: 2.25 MG GM/ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ASACOL, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
