Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 242.5 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Bactrim. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, cardio-respiratory arrest, chest pain , hepatic function abnormal, hypotension, malaise, rash , renal failure acute, ventricular fibrillation. Bactrim dosage: 160MG BID. Patient died on 10/18/2005.
