Azithromycin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Feb 24, 2009. Male patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection, immunosuppression and was treated with Azithromycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal infection, bundle branch block right, gallop rhythm present, hypersensitivity, hypotension, myocarditis, pericardial effusion, sepsis . Azithromycin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AZATHIOPRINE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
