Azithromycin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on June 27, 2008. Male patient, 53 years of age, was diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection, mitral valve repair and was treated with Azithromycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrhythmia supraventricular, blood albumin decreased, blood uric acid increased, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, cardiac failure congestive, haemodialysis, haemoglobin decreased. Azithromycin dosage: 500 MG; 250 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with WARFARIN, PROPOXYPHENE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, DIGOXIN, PREDNISONE, PHENYTOIN, FAMOTIDINE, HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE SULPHATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
