Azactam and multi-organ failure Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Azactam side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on July 01, 2005. Female patient, 90 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Azactam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: multi-organ failure. Azactam dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PRODIF. Patient died on 05/17/2005.

Azactam side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on July 01, 2005. Female patient, 90 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia , respiratory moniliasis, angina pectoris, gastric ulcer, asthma  and was treated with Azactam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, cerebral infarction, convulsion, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic function abnormal, multi-organ failure, myocardial infarction, renal impairment. Azactam dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PRODIF, DYPYRIDAMOLE, ALANTA, COUGHNOL, GASTER, CRAVIT, HOKUNALIN. Patient died on 05/17/2005.

Azactam side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Nov 24, 2005. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia , endocarditis  and was treated with Azactam. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, creatinine renal clearance decreased, dermatitis bullous, multi-organ failure, pneumonitis, rash , toxic skin eruption. Azactam dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, GENTAMICIN, CIFLOX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/21/2005.
