Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5089382-8
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Aug 08, 2006. Male patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , liver function test abnormal, respiratory failure, sinus tachycardia. Azacitidine dosage: 37.5 MG/M2 (DAYS 1-11 (SKIPPING SUNDAYS)), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with VORINOSTAT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/22/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: interstitial lung disease, pneumonitis, pulmonary fibrosis , pulmonary necrosis, rash , rash follicular, rash pustular, respiratory failure. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG./M2 (148 MG, DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM, LEVOFLOXACIN, METRONIDAZOLE, DOCUSATE, SENNA, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, EPOETIN ALFA, ESOMEPRAZOLE. Patient died.

Azacitidine dosage: 150 MG (DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEO. During the same period patient was treated with MGCD, ACYCLOVIR, LEVAQUIN, COMPAZINE, AMBIEN, BENADRYL, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/12/2006.
