Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on July 12, 2006. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 187.4 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pulmonary fibrosis , retinal artery occlusion. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (150 MG. DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with METOPROLOL, NIFEDIPINE. Patient recovered.

Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 27, 2005. Male patient, 71 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: interstitial lung disease, pneumonitis, pulmonary fibrosis , pulmonary necrosis, rash , rash follicular, rash pustular, respiratory failure. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG./M2 (148 MG, DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM, LEVOFLOXACIN, METRONIDAZOLE, DOCUSATE, SENNA, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, EPOETIN ALFA, ESOMEPRAZOLE. Patient died.
