Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5254695-3
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Feb 13, 2007. Female patient, 78 years of age, weighting 103.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, bacterial sepsis, haemoglobin decreased, lung infiltration, myocardial ischaemia, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, septic shock. Azacitidine dosage: 50 MG/M2 (AZA 5-2-5), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ARICEPT, NEUPOGEN, FOSINOPRIL, EXJADE, TYLENOL, PROTONIX. Patient died on 02/12/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute pulmonary oedema, cardiac failure, haemoglobin decreased, ischaemic stroke, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, pyrexia, white blood cell count decreased. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (150 MG, X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with OFLOXACIN, AMPICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/01/2005.

During the same period patient was treated with PREDNEFRINTE, TRANEXAMIC ACID, DICLOFENAC EC, VOLTAREN SUPPOSITORY, RABEPRAZOLE, COLOXYL WITH SENNA, DUPHALAC, FUROSEMIDE. Patient recovered.
