Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5797330-8
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from NETHERLANDS on June 16, 2008. Male patient, 81 years of age, weighting 172.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , cardiac tamponade, cardiopulmonary failure, circulatory collapse, haematuria, infection , lymphoedema. Azacitidine dosage: (75 MG/M2,D AILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FINASTERIDE, FOLIC ACID, SOTALOL, FUROSEMIDE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/16/2008.

Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2, DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FINASTERIDE, FOLIC ACID, SOTALOL, FUROSEMIDE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/16/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arteriosclerosis, hyperthermia, ileitis, infection , intestinal ischaemia, pruritus, subileus. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ALLOPURINOL, ATACAND, COLCHIMAX, ACUPAN, DIPROSONE, OMEPRAZOLE, DEBRIDAT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
