Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5254695-3
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Feb 13, 2007. Female patient, 78 years of age, weighting 103.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , atrial fibrillation , bacterial sepsis, haemoglobin decreased, lung infiltration, myocardial ischaemia, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, septic shock. Azacitidine dosage: 50 MG/M2 (AZA 5-2-5), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ARICEPT, NEUPOGEN, FOSINOPRIL, EXJADE, TYLENOL, PROTONIX. Patient died on 02/12/2007.

Female patient, 78 years of age, weighting 103.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , atrial fibrillation , blood culture positive, disorientation, haemoglobin decreased, lethargy, lung infiltration, myocardial ischaemia, neutropenia. Azacitidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ARICEPT, NEUPOGEN, FOSINOPRIL, EXJADE, TYLENOL, PROTONIX. Patient died on 02/12/2007.

Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from on June 06, 2005. Male patient, 72 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute pulmonary oedema, cardiac failure, haemoglobin decreased, ischaemic stroke, neutropenia, platelet count decreased, pneumonia , pyrexia, white blood cell count decreased. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (150 MG, X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with OFLOXACIN, AMPICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/01/2005.

Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 06, 2005. Female patient, 61 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain natriuretic peptide increased, enterococcal infection, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, haemophilus infection, haemoptysis, hypoxia, pneumonia . Azacitidine dosage: 75MG/M2 ON DAYS 1-7. During the same period patient was treated with GEMTUZUMAB OZOGAMICIN, GEMTUZUMAB OZOGAMICIN, BENICAR, NORVASC, ZYRTEC, SINGULAIR, ALBUTEROL AND MAXAIR NEBULIZER. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
