Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from ITALY on Jan 18, 2008. Male patient, 85 years of age, weighting 145.5 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: angina pectoris, confusional state, constipation What is  constipation, intestinal obstruction, no therapeutic response, pleural effusion. Azacitidine dosage: (37.5 MG/M2, DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ZOFRAN, GLYSENNID, UNIPRIL, MONOKET, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, ALLOPURINOL, PLASIL, PSYLOGEL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
