Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5113412-8
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from SPAIN on Sept 06, 2006. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, aspergillosis, blood culture positive, bronchospasm, candidiasis, chest pain , corynebacterium infection, cough, dyspnoea. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FLURAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 DAILY X 7 DAYS, SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FLURAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, aspergillosis, bacteraemia, blood culture positive, bronchospasm, candidiasis, chest pain , corynebacterium infection, febrile neutropenia. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 (DAILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FLURAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 64 years of age, weighting 273.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, chest pain , haemolysis, renal failure acute, thrombocytopenia, transfusion reaction, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Azacitidine dosage: 75 MG/M2 DAILY X 7 SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DIALYSIS, PLATELET AND PRBC TRANSFUSION, MASK CPAP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/10/2005.
