Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5089382-8
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Aug 08, 2006. Male patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , liver function test abnormal, respiratory failure, sinus tachycardia. Azacitidine dosage: 37.5 MG/M2 (DAYS 1-11 (SKIPPING SUNDAYS)), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with VORINOSTAT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/22/2006.

Male patient, 81 years of age, weighting 172.0 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , cardiac tamponade, cardiopulmonary failure, circulatory collapse, haematuria, infection , lymphoedema. Azacitidine dosage: (75 MG/M2,D AILY X 7 DAYS), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FINASTERIDE, FOLIC ACID, SOTALOL, FUROSEMIDE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/16/2008.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/16/2008.

Azacitidine dosage: 50 MG/M2 (AZA 5-2-5), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ARICEPT, NEUPOGEN, FOSINOPRIL, EXJADE, TYLENOL, PROTONIX. Patient died on 02/12/2007.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
