Atovaquone Side Effects Report #6002997-5
Atovaquone side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from ISRAEL on Dec 01, 2008. Female patient, child 12 years of age, was diagnosed with antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with Atovaquone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, brain oedema, cerebral haemorrhage, cerebral toxoplasmosis, coma, convulsion, headache
. Atovaquone dosage: 1200 MG / PER DAY / ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DAPSONE, VORICONAZOLE, ITRACONAZOLE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, CIDOFOVIR, STEM CELL TRANSPLANT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
