Asparaginase Side Effects Report #5839425-6
Asparaginase side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on July 22, 2008. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukaemia and was treated with Asparaginase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, febrile neutropenia, grand mal convulsion, ileus paralytic, paraesthesia, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, tumour lysis syndrome, visual impairment. Asparaginase dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VINCRISTINE, DAUNORUBICIN, PREDNISONE, METHOTREXATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atonic urinary bladder, febrile neutropenia, grand mal convulsion, ileus paralytic, lower motor neurone lesion, neuropathy peripheral, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, tardive dyskinesia. Asparaginase dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VINCRISTINE, DAUNORUBICIN, PREDNISONE, METHOTREXATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
