Asacol side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 12, 2006. Female patient, 14 years of age, was diagnosed with crohn's disease  and was treated with Asacol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, delirium, gastroenteritis , headache , mental status changes, pyrexia, viral infection . Asacol dosage: 800 MG THREE TIMES DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PHENERGAN, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Asacol dosage: 1200-4800 MG, DAILY, ORAL; 1200 MG, 3 TIMES DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with FLAGYL, LANOXIN, LASIX, ATENOLOL, ALDACTONE, VASOTEC, FEOSOL, METHYLPREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
