Female patient, 14 years of age, was diagnosed with crohn's disease What is  crohn's disease and was treated with Asacol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, delirium, gastroenteritis What is  gastroenteritis, headache What is  headache, mental status changes, pyrexia, viral infection What is  viral infection. Asacol dosage: 800 MG THREE TIMES DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PHENERGAN, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Asacol dosage: 1200-4800 MG, DAILY, ORAL; 1200 MG, 3 TIMES DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with FLAGYL, LANOXIN, LASIX, ATENOLOL, ALDACTONE, VASOTEC, FEOSOL, METHYLPREDNISOLONE.
