Asacol side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 05, 2005. Female patient, 36 years of age, was diagnosed with colitis ulcerative and was treated with Asacol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dialysis What is  dialysis, renal failure. Asacol dosage: 3600 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ZOLOFT, MERCAPTOPURINE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 36 years of age, weighting 185.0 lb, was diagnosed with colitis ulcerative and was treated with Asacol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, anaemia of chronic disease, band neutrophil percentage increased, blood calcium decreased, blood phosphorus increased, blood thyroid stimulating hormone decreased, carbon dioxide decreased, dialysis What is  dialysis, diarrhoea. Asacol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZOLOFT, MERCAPTOPURINE, FERGON, ATENOLOL, FOLIC ACID, DONNATAL, LOMOTIL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dialysis What is  dialysis, glomerulonephritis focal, glomerulonephritis minimal lesion, nephropathy toxic, renal failure chronic, renal impairment, tubulointerstitial nephritis. Asacol dosage: 800-4000 MG DAILY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PENTASA, SALOFALK, BALSALAZIDE, OLSALAZINE, AZATHIOPRINE, PREDSOL RETENTION ENEMA, NSAIDS. Patient died.
