Artane Side Effects Report #4595946-8
Artane side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Feb 15, 2005. Male patient, 44 years of age, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was treated with Artane. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood uric acid increased, depressed level of consciousness, rhabdomyolysis. Artane dosage: 6 MG 1X PER 1 DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with BUFFERIN, RISPERDAL, VEGETAMIN A, ROHYPNOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with CAFEINE, LYSOZYME, BUFFERIN, RISPERDAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperamylasaemia, hypertension, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, obesity , osteoporosis , renal failure acute, shock. Artane dosage: 4 MG 1X PER 1 DAY. During the same period patient was treated with IMPROMEN, HALOPERIDOL, VEGETAMIN, DOXAZOSIN MESYLATE, FOSAMAX, ALFAROL, CARVEDILOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Artane dosage: 2 MG 1X PER 1 DAY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEVODOPA, SELEGILINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
