Arsenic Side Effects Report #5926589-9
Arsenic side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on Oct 01, 2008. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 185.2 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Arsenic. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anaemia, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, cardiac failure, electrocardiogram repolarisation abnormality, hypoxia, pco2 decreased, platelet count decreased, sinus tachycardia. Arsenic dosage: 25.2 MG CYCLE 1 INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with CLORFENAMINA MALEATO, IRBESARTAN, METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE, LENOGASTRIM, ASCORBIC ACID, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, atrial flutter, cardiac murmur, cardiomegaly, dyspnoea, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, hepatomegaly, jugular vein distension, pericardial effusion. Arsenic dosage: 0.15 MG/KG QD. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 206.1 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Arsenic. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, atrial fibrillation , atrioventricular block first degree, blood pressure diastolic decreased, feeling abnormal, thrombocytopenia, ventricular extrasystoles. Arsenic dosage: 23 MG QD FOR 5 DAYS EACH WEEK TIMES 2 WEEKS INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, NORVASC, VORICONAZOLE, LEVAQUIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
