Female patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with prophylaxis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, operative haemorrhage and was treated with Aprotinin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic thrombosis, atrial thrombosis, cardiac valve replacement complication, cardiogenic shock, haemorrhage, ventricular failure. Aprotinin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PROTAMINE SULPHATE, PLATELETS, CRYOPRECIPITATES, TAMOXIFEN CITRATE, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient died.
