Female patient, 16 years of age, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, antinuclear antibody positive, coagulation factor v level decreased, coagulopathy, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatic failure, hepatic function abnormal, hepatic necrosis, jaundice What is  jaundice. Antabuse dosage: 500 MG, 2/WEEK, UNK. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 160.0 lb, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, coma, depressed level of consciousness, dermatitis exfoliative, disseminated intravascular coagulation, exfoliative rash, heart rate increased, hepatic failure, hyperbilirubinaemia. Antabuse dosage: 500 MG DAILY MON, WED, FRIDAY PO. During the same period patient was treated with PROZAC, CYPROHEPTADINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
